Spotlight on Golmar.

The sun is shining outside our office window so we thought we would take a look at our favourite Spanish Intercom manufacturer Golmar, as we are one of a very select bunch of resellers here in the UK. So for the first time ever all the products feature on our home page are from the one manufacturer Golmar and we have some fantastic special offers on a number of popular Golmar Kits on our Special Offer page, (which seemed the best place to put them on our web site).

Golmar have been manufacturing Intercoms for 60 years this year, though as well they have a office, warehouse and a technical support facility here in the UK. It's Christmas!

Well we have had a last minute little rush of orders that have all been safely handed to the Royal Mail for Delivery on Monday 29th December. So with them safely away we are away to, until Monday 5th January. If you need an Emergency Spare then please see the news article below.

If you are an existing installation customer who needs an Emergency Engineer please call our office number for the out of hours number. Please do NOT call this number if you require advise/information on a system that we did not install or do not maintain, please email us, or leave a message on our answering machine for the New Year.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Christmas Orders:

Orders placed up until 1pm on Tuesday 23rd December will be dispatched as normal for items in stock, and should be delivered on Wednesday 24th, please note smaller items including Intercom Handsets are normally dispatched via the Royal Mail signed for service, and while this is normally is a next working day service, it is not guaranteed. Please ask if you require a guaranteed delivery for these items, additional charges will be applicable.

Orders placed after 1pm on the 23rd December may be dispatched, though please assume they will not be sent until Monday 5th January, so please call us if you require an urgent delivery. Non stock items ordered after Monday 22nd December will be dispatched on Monday 5th/Tuesday 6th January depending on the supplier.

Emergency Spares:

If you need emergency spares over the holidays, please contact us via email, stating what you require and if we have it in stock we will do our best to arrange to send it to you, all our suppliers are closed until 5th January so we can only dispatch what we have in stock.

Office Hours over Christmas:

Our office will be open until Midday on Wednesday 24th December, depending on work load we may be in after this time, but support/advice after this time is not guaranteed.

How it Works

• When ordering your shopping online most websites provide the option to give a ‘Special Instruction’ or ‘Other Information’. Within that section you need to write a clear instruction for the delivery driver, telling him where your Parcel bin is and the 4 digit code to open the lock.
• The order is placed and the courier is sent the delivery note.
• The courier will have your address and special instruction that you requested when placing the order.
• When the courier arrives at your address they will locate your iBin via the instructions you provided them.
• They will then key in the 4 digit code on the lock from the special instruction.
• The courier will place your parcel inside the iBin and record the unique code that is placed on the inside of the lid, this will be the proof of signature.
• When you return home you enter the 4 digit code, open the lid and retrieve your parcels from the security of your iBin.

Where Has All the News Gone?

We have had a busy summer here at The Hollies (Securasound HQ - its a former hotel and while we don't have the Beer or Beds, the kettle will soon go in if you calling by), we have not really updated the news section of our web site as much as we should. We have added lots of new products on to the site though.

Intercom Spares.

Our office is located on the second floor so we appreciate as much as the next person a working intercom; but if your's is not working we can help. We have shelves packed full of intercom spares: Handsets, Panels, Buttons, Fuses, Power Supplies, Speech Units, Amplifiers the lot. While we have a long list of manufacturers that we can supply we are always looking to grow the range. This year we have looked to two Spanish companies Golmar and Auta

Sadly we did not get chance to visit the two companies in Spain but hopefully next year!.

Intercom Spotting.

Its a bit like train spotting in that we try to identify your intercom from a number - if you are looking for a part for your intercom and are not sure what it is then please take lots and lots of clear pictures. Ideally of the front panel then inside the handset or panel which ever has the fault, we need to know the number of connections, as lots of manufacturers put different "insides" in to the same external case.

Once you have these pictures email them to Info@securasound.co.uk and we will do our best, if you can't email them please contact us and we can give you a number to text them to, if you are still on a Box Browning please take them to Snappy Snaps and post them to us with an SAE if you want them back.Please do not include any pictures of you on the beach unless it was raining lots!

Royal Mail increase Postage Costs

From the 1st April 2014 the Royal Mail have increased their postage charges, which unfortunately we have had to pass on, on those items sent this way. On those products that have increased in price the rise has been capped at 25p and of course if you order more than one item you only pay the one lot of postage regardless of the size of the parcel.

We have looked at setting a fixed shipping cost for all items on here, however this would prove expensive for those ordering small spares and parts.
